FIS has adopted the American Common Core State Standards CCSS in Math, English, and Social Studies, and NGSS for Sciences. By merging a variety of texts and online resources, FIS ensures that students reach their full learning potential through different learning approaches that build social and emotional skills and enhance problem-solving. This emphasizes the students’ role in the learning process, giving them the autonomy to explore, ask questions, and share ideas.
Our curriculum includes the core subjects of English, math, sciences, social studies/history as well as Arabic, French, computer studies, robotics, art, and physical education.
Teaching and learning are differentiated for students’ needs. Students are asked to make connections between life in school, life at home, and life in the world. These connections encourage the development of the attitudes that contribute to international mindedness.
