All applicants are required to complete an entrance examination in order to evaluate their English language proficiency as well as their mathematics skills and basic science knowledge. For students applying to KGI and KGII they will be given tests that are developmentally appropriate for their age. Passing this examination is mandatory for acceptance to FIS. The examinations will be administered by the Entrance Exam Coordinators who will then forward the results to the Deputy Director for final decision.
Prospective students will also attend an interview with the School Counselor and the relevant Department Head or Program Coordinator. The School Administration will also conduct interviews with both parents of prospective students. These interviews are an opportunity for the student to present his/her educational background, to explain any inconsistency in the test result, to fully acquaint parents with the philosophy and pedagogy of the school and to discuss special issues pertinent to the child.
Once the final decision for admittance is reached, the Admissions Office will notify the parents. If approved, the parents are invited to complete the online registration and necessary paperwork for admissions.
